2017 - 2018

In December 2009, Sujit Kochrekar and Dwarkanath Prabhu came together with a common passion for the environmental cause. The duo did an extensive study on environmental issues and found that in India, waste management was one of the most neglected aspect of environment protection. Almost all types of waste was recycled in very crude methods leading to massive problems such as large scale air, water and land pollution. Besides, it induced social issues such as child labour, economic exploitation and general health.


Apart from lack of awareness and environmental insensitivity, one of the major cause for the existence of the informal sector was unavailability of affordable and reliable machinery. The machinery from Western countries was extremely expensive and from East Asia was not very reliable.


One of the ways in which informal recycling could be avoided was to deliver lower cost machines. ResposeIndia was founded with this objective to help recyclers by providing them good quality affordable machinery.

The first completely Indian e-waste processing and metal recovery plant and launched the first commercial product REP500 mini on 5th May 2012. The REP 500 mini was quickly succeeded by RUDRA 1000-S. Multiple models of the Rudra Series soon followed.


Currently we offer the following models of RUDRA Family for processing of PCBs and Wires - Rudra L1, Rudra 500, Rudra 1000, Rudra 2000 PS, Rudra 2000 PA, Rudra 3000 PA, Rudra 5000PA.


As of now, we have a ready plant available for demo and as a 'proof of concept' set up in Dombivli. Our team intends to carry on this research to further improve the efficiency, bring down costs, expand the spectrum of waste processing etc. We are currently also working on still more efficient methods of managing waste Plastics, Kitchen Waste, Municipal Solid Waste and Automobiles.


Overall, we are poised to come up with multiple firsts in the foreseeable future in the areas of waste management and usher in a new era of mainstreaming the traditionally informal 'dirty' sector.


We launched our Renewable energy initiative in 2017. As usual the initial activity is complete research and exhaustive study of technologies. Based on the same, we have in our portfolio offerings for mid range solar power projects starting from 10KW going upto maximum 1000 KW. We provide comprehensive consulting, supply and erection of plant, commissioning and post commissioning maintenance for your solar power projects.
